SPECIAL GREEN SCENE - Join Us for a Tour and BBQ!

AIA Redwood Empire Chapter has invited USGBC - Redwood Empire to join them to learn more about engineered wood products at Standard Structures, Inc.

Who's Hosting the Event? 

• U.S. Green Building Council, American Institute of Architects, and Standard Structures, Inc.  For over sixty years, Standard Structures has been manufacturing wood products for use in residential, commerical, and multi-family construction.  They are committed to green building and have in-depth knowledge green building rating systems - including LEED.

What's the Topic? 

• Engineered wood products including: FSC certification, glued laminated beams, custom complex glulam, high strength composite glulam, laminated veneer lumber, and more!

Why Attend? 

• To learn more about engineered wood products, get answers to questions on LEED MR credits, and network with green building professionals.

Event Details? 

• Chuck Young, Marketing Manager for Standard Structures, will be our host.  He will provide guided tours of their facility - where we'll learn about the products and process.  During this time, Mark will answer questions and discuss LEED credits and how their products fit in.  Tours begin at 3:00 PM sharp!  Arrive early to ensure your spot!  Max size for tour is 40 people.

3:10 to 5:30    

Guided Tours - Limited to first 40 arrivals.  Tour in groups of 10.  Tour lasts around 2 hours.  You will need:  comfortable shoes for walking.  Standard Structures will provide all safety equipment.  The tours will be around load machinery with high pitched noise. 

5:00 to 7:00     Drinks, BBQ, Networking, and Discussion
